Dr. Celeste Sangiorgio
Dr. Celeste Sangiorgio is a clinical psychologist and research faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology, with over 10 years of clinical and research work. She advocates for the development and use of healthcare technologies, particularly in how mental health skills can be learned through digital tools and games – she has spoken on her own research in this area at the American Psychological Association Convention, the Game Developer’s Conference, the Boston Globe, PAX Conferences, and other outlets. Her research work focuses on how people think of themselves in social situations, particularly what drives the skills they use in relationships, and building games that tap into this mechanical pathway. Her clinical practice has included treatment of adults in crisis (human trafficking, crime victimization, homelessness), forensic practice for Western NY court system, and over a decade of experience in national telehealth treatment and practice.
